STARTING IN 1990 Land rover used immobilisers to combat vehicle theft. Initially they used a separate fob and a standard key (non-transponder).

FROM 2000 Land rover used a combined transponder key / remote control fob in one unit.

FROM 2009 Land rover began to use smart (or proximity) keys which didn’t require inserting into a lock, merely requiring the key to be in the vehicle for it to be started.

33-TYPE ROLLING CODE KEY FOB

We have the software, experience and expertise to programme these special keys, containing type-33 rolling code chips, by using a technique known as eeprom work. The vehicle specific key data is extracted from the vehicles ECU or immobilser and then written to the chip which will start the vehicle

PROXIMITY TYPE (OR’ SMART KEY’)

First used in 2009 on the Discovery and Range Rover models.
We have the software and ability to provide and program such remote’s.
